Bio
JESTER SYNDROME
Athens-based alternative rock band with post-punk foundations.
Jester Syndrome began in Athens in 2020 and released their first work in 2021 with their self-titled project. The band’s early music combined post-punk rhythms and alternative rock sensibilities with expressive lyrics and layered instrumentation.
In 2024, they released their first full-length album Shape, featuring tracks like Dearly Beloved, Silence, and Whistleblower, which showcased a mix of dynamic guitars, rhythmic depth, and introspective songwriting. Later that year they followed with the Dancing Shadows EP (4 tracks), further refining their sound and exploring different moods and textures.
Vasilis Lagos contributes bass in both studio and live performances, and in 2026 guitarist Dimitris Paganiaris joined, providing new creative energy and musical depth to the current lineup.
Jester Syndrome is now working toward a new release expected in 2027. This next phase builds on their previous work by incorporating broader stylistic elements while staying rooted in expressive songwriting, melodic clarity, and rhythmic engagement. Their evolving music reflects a balance of intensity and atmosphere, combining direct rock elements with creative exploration.
Across multiple releases and live performances in Athens venues, the band has developed a presence in the local alternative and post-punk scene, bringing forward a blend of thoughtful composition and live energy.
